I mean like 2 years ago I was teased with the prospect of a Sweet Valley High Movie.

But alas it never came to be.

So hopefully this will tide me over. I mean I doubt it will have a maniac trying to kill Jessica, an elopement, or Elizabeth killing Jessica's boyfriend in a car accident (a crime she was acquitted of).

But it will be a  peak into the Wakefield adult life.

So Miss and I ventured to Hip and Humble this week.

While there, I picked up this sweet number

Love & Toast Sugar Grapefruit Hand Lotion

Cute packaging, delicious to smell, perfect size for a purse makeup bag.

I used it this morning and I am hooked.

PLUS there is a little cutout of toast on the inside.

Sweet.

But I had a really great night with really great woman who I want to know better.

And I swore...so you can do that and woman will still like you.

I thought I would give this DVD a try

Here is the thing....you get a REALLY great workout.

But at what expense? 

You have to listen to Julianne

You have to do a body roll...which I have issues with

There is one section called "Flaunt It" where she uses that word 128991455654 times

You have to remember she dates Ryan Seacrest

She makes you feel like doing crunches is dumb because you should get all the ab workout you need by dancing with her, and then that makes me think Jillian would hate her, and that makes me daydream about them getting into a fight.

I am not sure the the workout is worth it.

Prom

So my dad is from a small town in Wyoming.

A lot of my family still lives there.

This past weekend was prom.

They have it in the gym and they decorate it themselves.

It was...amazing

The juniors are announced cotillion style

Christmas lights and paper lanterns 

This fountain has real goldfish in it....a delicate addition to this special night

All the juniors come out and for an entire song promenade around the gym.

Homemade stream with bridge....nice

Crown bearer Boe. She got to present the crown to the prom queen.

Honestly as I left that night I thought...that was endearing.

My prom was at a golf resort.

My prom queen was the sluttiest girl in school.

At this prom they gave the honor to a special needs girl.

I joke that I would never live anywhere that was not within 50 miles of a Nordstrom.

But things like this make me jealous of small towns.

So today I was browsing through the Neiman Marcus purse selection.

It seemed every 5th purse was a fuzzy Juicy bag.

Sick.

I don't want to offend but....Juicy Couture makes me itch.

Strikes My Fancy

Sometimes things just strike my fancy.

So..lets talk American Idol.

I just have a few thoughts.

So:

Last week I thought of a great drinking game (if I drank). Every time Randy Jackson name drops a band you drink. You would be wasted in minutes. I swear he is ALWAYS name dropping.

But on the other hand...if you don't know an artist don't let the world know Jennifer Lopez. I mean Ryan Adams is a pretty big deal.....he is engaged to Mandy Moore..oh now you know who he is.

*sigh* Paul McDonald. There has NEVER been a contestant I disliked more than this mess. I mean I want Sanjaya back. I cringe every time he sings. Like cannot stand him or his crazy dancy walk he does on stage. And AND if this is the way music is going....buh.

Today is Lucky For Me

Today on St.Patrick's day I was hoping for luck.

Boy did I find it!!!!

While waiting for a meeting today I went to Smiths.

I needed to...use the little girls room.

While there I decided to check out the culinary delights at their deli counter.

I decided on a box of pre-packaged sushi.

I went and sat at a table and THAT is when my luck began.

First

I got to overhear two workers discussing how the deli I HAD JUST BOUGHT FOOD FROM failed the quality review and THEN listened to them DEVISE a plan on how to CUT CLEANING CORNERS so they could pass next time. And how is was especially important for them to pass because this was the second time in a row they had failed. I literally stared at them with the face of  "I am right here and just purchased food from your deli"

Second

As I finished I gathered my things and what do I hear??? A pirate over the loudspeaker trying to lure prospective "eaters" to the deli to try their new fish sandwich that is so so great because it has cheese on it. It went on forever with phrases like "walk the plank of delicious" and "a'hoy hungry maties"

Third

As I walked out of the store I followed what I can imagine was a RAGING meth addict to his car. As he and his dad got in the dad yelled at his son to "buckle up". How about yelling "stop smoking meth"

So thank you Smiths for making my day so lucky.

Lucky indeed.

Me - Original bassist from AIC...drug overdose

Boss - Sad

Me - Yeah...Alice in Chains.... not doing so hot

Boss - Well they will do ok, it's about the lead vocalist anyway, that is why they are successful.

Me - (check the calender to make sure it is not 1995)  uhh the original vocalist?

Boss - Yeah that is why they make good music.

Me - Uhh yeah well then AIC is really in trouble because Layne died like a decade ago
