The Worst

Robin had an interesting question on her blog.

"when you think of your senior year what three songs come to mind?"

Well I graduated in 1995 so my senior year was 1994-1995.

The music was AWFUL.

The music of the 90's is awful.

Look I know there were some goodies:

Oasis
Weezer
Pearl Jam
Beck
Boy Bands
Britney

But all in all BAD.

Here is just a SMALL list:

Ricky Martin
Limp Bizkit
Shawn Colvin
Paula Cole
The Cranberries
Eve 6
311
Blues Traveler
Goo Goo Dolls
Gin Blossoms
Hootie and the Blowfish
Sister Hazel
Savage Garden
Marcy Playground
Matchbox 20
Soundgarden
Bush
Creed
Crash Test Dummies
Shawn Mullins
Duncan Sheik
Jewel
Seven Mary Three
Better than Ezra
Third Eye Blind
Smash Mouth
The Verve Pipe
The Wallflowers
Everclear
Sugar Ray
Lit
Dishwalla

I mean I could LITERALLY go on and on

Terrible...just terrible.

I am going to have to disagree with Matchbox 20. I'm a Rob Thomas lover! And you left off one of my favorites, Sublime. I sure hope they are on your good list. :)

sadly, matchbox 20 was the first cd i ever bought for myself.

i was a different person then.

HOWEVER, i had quite the love for the gin blossoms and probably still love a good gin blossoms song once and a while. oh, same for third eye blind.

sorry. but there it is.

I just took quite a walk down memory lane with those lists. I still have my Hootie and the Blowfish CD, loved Jewel, sang along to the Gin Blossoms AND the Cranberries (do you have to let it linger.....). Not my finest moments, but I had forgotten about Paula Cole. Those were rough times!

Do you have to let it linger? I honestly wish I would have been in high school in the 90's! Everything was bad, and I love it!

dishwalla, right? what a name, the fact that i only recognize the name and cannot think of one thing they sing proves how awesome they were...
(or how horrible my memory is...)
