I started working at 17. At a Dee's Dancewear in Phoenix.
I have been working ever since.
I love to work.
So when we found out we we having sweet girl baby, It was a no brainer for me...I would keep working.
Granted I was going to work from home and I was going to do both like a champ.
Deep down.....I knew it was not right.
This nagging feeling has followed me for 6 months.
Thursday I broke. I went into my boss and said...
"I am not coming back after baby"
The minute I said it I started to cry. I knew it was the right thing....but I want to to work.
And so.....starting November 18th I will be a stay at home mom.
And to be honest...I am a little sad.
And a little more budgeted.

wahoo!
This is a big decision...but babies are WORK!
You are going to be too tired to really miss it anyway... for a couple of years.
Just being real.
I loved my babies...and I love my not babies.
SEriously excited for you .
Wow!! I'm so shocked! But so happy for you. Welcome to the stay home moms club! So, I have some ideas to fill your time if you'd like...well once baby is a little older obviously :)
You'll never regret one moment spent with baby girl. And she will love being with her mom!! Congrats! I'm so happy for you!
Consider yourself lucky that you're able to be a SAHM. I would give anything to be able to stay at home with my little girl (and I never thought I'd say that either).
Jen-good for you. I have never been able to be a 100% at home mom. My kids have never had to go to daycare - my #1 goal. You will be happy to not have the added pressure of going to work. You might find, like I have, a few hours of work is good for everyone. After you figure out when to shower and how to not walk around in just a bra because you are feeding a baby all the time....
Wow I have to say I didn't see this coming. BUT... You will be so busy with baby girl and so wrapped up in being with her that I am sure you won't mind not working. If you find after you and baby girl get into a routine I am sure you could figure things out if you really wanted to. You being with your kids is really important for them growing up though. I doubt you will 2nd guess once she is here. Love you and I am proud of you for following those little promptings :)
i remember the exact exchange of this conversation.... in the chili's parking lot.
wise choice.
