OK...I read the books. I loved the books. In fact the last one was my favorite. BUT I loathed the movie. Like would have rather given myself a root canal while eating an onion sandwich kind of loathing. Yet, upon leaving the the theatre I knew I would see the second one. Even though the guy who played Jasper portrayed him as a sexual deviant with a penchant for Banana Republic sweaters. Yes and even though Bella was dry as toast...or a pop-tart. But I digress.
So today I pulled up the trailer. Facebook was buzzing with great reviews and excited whispers. People I knew were asking if I had seen it and all my entertainment websites were ooing and ahhing over it. So like any good girl, I looked it up on You Tube and anxiously awaited my visual treat. So I got passed Bella, and I even got past Jasper, but I laughed right out loud and I mean a good hearty chuckle when Jacob changed into a werewolf (there wolf, there castle). I mean I played that part back at least 50 times just for the laugh factor. I also had serious giggles when Edward told Bella this would be the last time she saw him. SUCH ANGST!! (these problems matter)
All I am saying is...look I bag on it but I will still spend $8 for a ticket and however much a gigantic Rice Krispy treat costs to go see it. I mean I feel it is my duty as a girl to do as such. But, I can not promise I will not laugh all the way through it.
can we stop in at bath and body for some sun ripened raspberry body cream before we get our square foot rice krispy? it's just next door and we can fulfill all of our girly duties.
ReplyDeletef16 and 17. it's on.
I would have to agree with you. The movie wasn't that great...it was BORING, but the books were good. And I too will be spending $9 just to be able to say that I saw it.
ReplyDeletei would love it if you, me, and aubry could all be in that same theater . . . laughing together. because really, laughing is the only thing to do. like in the first one when bella walked into the classroom and the fan blew her scent over to edward who looked like he was on the toilet trying to poop. yeah, that's funny.
ReplyDeleteooh . . . and congratulations on the weight loss (aubry mentioned it in her "all about robin" post). that's great!
ReplyDeletei don't feel like i've been very helpful, though. but i'll take all the credit! no, but seriously . . . let me know if you have any questions . . . or stuff . . .
haven't seen the first one. not sure if i will...unless i am in the mood for an onion sandwich as my movie watching snack.
